WHAT IS HOLY CITY GATHERING?
Holy City is not the city of Charleston but rather the people of God. Jesus calls us a city set on a hill whose light shines as a witness to the world (Matthew 5:14-16). Standing firm on the principles and truths found in the Word of God, we are not ashamed to let our light shine before men. We gather to stir one another up to love and good works and to equip young adults with the tools necessary to combat the philosophies and ideologies of men that set themselves up against the Truth of God.
WHAT WE GATHER AROUND
Expository Teaching: Teaching through books of the Bible line by line, verse by verse. Cultural Issues: Tackling hard topics head-on using the Word of God and biblical apologetics. Worship: Worshiping in Spirit and in truth with songs that express His truth and hearts that express His worth. Christ-Centered Community: Building genuine relationships and a community of believers who are not willing to compromise their faith for the sake of being accepted by our culture.
BUILD THE CITY
How then will they call on him in whom they have not believed? And how are they to believe in him of whom they have never heard? And how are they to hear without someone preaching? And how are they to preach unless they are sent? As it is written, "How beautiful are the feet of those who preach the good news!" 16 But they have not all obeyed the gospel. For Isaiah says, "Lord, who has believed what he has heard from us?" - Romans 10:14-16
A SIMPLE INVITATION
The enemy is coming against the church at every possible front and many believers/churches have laid down our greatest weapon in this Spiritual war, The Word of God. If you feel the immense burden, like we do, to see believers rooted and grounded in the Word of God then we ask that you partner with us in building the Holy City through a simple invitation. Go into the communities the Lord has you planted in (work, school, friends, family, etc.) and invite others to come study the Word of God.
