Hope’s House of Summerville

Hope’s House Of Summerville is a shelter for homeless or displaced women. Hope’s House is operated by Dorchester County Community Outreach or DCCO, a faith based nonprofit in Summerville. DCCO also operates the Lowcountry Home Of Hope, a shelter for homeless men. Both shelters accept guests that are willing and able to work. The staff uses a relationship model to get to know each guest, identify their needs, and provide support, services, and counseling. Checkout the slideshow of Hope’s House pics on the website. You can also read about the board, the staff, recent news articles, as well as read and sign up for the newsletter and make a donation. Pastor Manuel and Magalys Avila - Bayamo, Cuba

In Cuba, they are not allowed to build church buildings, but to meet in house churches. Pastor Manuel started their church by converting their living room into sanctuary to meet and worship.

The church is located in the poorest area of the city of Bayamo and they have completely filled their home! They are hoping to expand their building to accommodate more people in their services. We have supported Pastor Manuel and Magaly’s church since 2018 by providing them with bibles, church supplies, marriage conferences and training the church leaders. This support and training has expanded to 5 more churches around Bayamo.

Bill and Danyal James - USA and Uganda

USA - In 2007 the Lord gave Bill a vision to sell everything and step out in faith as missionaries to the United States. For 3 1/2 years they traveled the U.S. spreading the gospel and training believers on how to share their faith. In this time they started Agents for Christ, a ministry focused on evangelism and training believers for evangelism.

UGANDA - In 2010 God began to put a burden on their hearts for Africa. After much prayer, God opened the door for them to oversee the Agape Children's Village in Uganda. From there the Lord led Bill and Danyal to plant Calvary Chapel Ishunga and to begin their own outreach center Uganda Kids Project. They focus on keeping families together by ministering to the needs of the kids and seeking healing for whole families through the Gospel.

Tyrone and Anna Power - Ireland

Tyrone and Anna are church planters in Waterford, Ireland. Their work in Ireland has been to spread the gospel and train up disciples in Ireland. Calvary Waterford started as a home bible study in the summer of 2008. We have supported them both financially and through missions trips. We have sent three teams to Ireland, helping them to serve the community through VBS and service projects.

Arin Shivvers - CCBC Montebelluna, Italy

In the Fall of 2020, Arin felt the confirmation from the Lord to return to Italy after a semester of Bible college and to serve there full-time.  She currently serves alongside Calvary Chapel Montebelluna and the adjoining Bible college, CCBC Italy.  She is involved with the worship, youth, and college ministries at the church and with the students that come for the bible college.  A large portion of her ministry is relational and focuses on discipleship within the church and evangelism within the community.

God has given her a passion for teaching the Word of God and encouraging those around her to know God deeper through their own study of Scripture.  She is overjoyed to get to see people in Italy come to know the Lord and grow in their relationships with Him.  We ask you to join us in praying for the churches in Italy to be firm on the foundation of the Word and the guiding of the Holy Spirit as the Lord continues to work through them.

We also partner with a missionary family ministering in a closed country. Due to the sensitivity of their work we refrain from putting any information online.  We ask that you would pray for them and the work that God is accomplishing through them. If you would like to donate to their work, please contact us directly at info@cccharleston.org.
